I was just reading about the etymology of the word "orchestra". Apparently, some of the origins are from a word meaning "to set in motion, stir up, raise".
Considering the past, recent and ongoing events causing our lives to feel unsettled and "stirred up", that's an appropriate thing to think about.
I long for peace and quiet in our lives, but when I think about the music I love, it is anything but quiet and calm! Do I help create the stirring in our lives because that's the way I'm wired? Dunno.
In the meantime, I have to ignore the music playing in my head and try to get some work done!
